  1. Btw, my car is featuring in Classic Motor Show. It's going to be on 7th to 8th of May. Show is in Lahti, Finland.
  2. Hi,All Eurosamaras are equipped with GM injection, same units as on Russian built ones with GM injection. Most of the eletric parts are the same as in Russian version. Injection models are within Euro2 specs.
  3. It's nice to hear that you're having also a good Lada clubs. Lada Club of Finland is open to everyone. You don't have to own Lada, it's enough if you feel you're driving Lada In year 2009 we had 720 members from around the Finland. Delta Auto (formerly Konela) had imported Lada cars from the beginning of 70's to year 2010. They imported all kinds of rear wheel drive models, Niva, Samara, 110 series and Kalina series. We never had a chance to buy a Kalina. In year 2010 they just stopped importing them. Nowadays Delta Auto wants to import Kia cars to us and not the quality Russian cars. Rear wheel drive models were a huge success in sales and they were on top of new car sales. Samara was also very popular from the middle of 80's to beginning of the 90's. Lada Club of Finland is making also very much co-operation with other Eastern car clubs in Finland. We are having "Idän ihmeet" every summer, a weekend in camping area with a lots of different Eastern car enhusiastics.
  4. Is there a lot of Lada/VAZ enthusiastics in Ukraina? We have Ladakerho in Finland. We're having several country wide meetings in a year and few more local meetings. Are Lada/VAZ common in nowaday's Ukraine? We used to have very good amount of Lada's in the 1980's, but number of them ceased in the 1990's. Our Lada importer is Delta Auto, but they hasn't been imprted any cars since 2010.
  5. Hi, I'll reply to ZZ-top's post. My car is actually "Samara Baltic". It should have been sold to Germany, but my father bought it from the factory, it was sold with much lower price than it should be. That's very usual story with Eurosamara's bought in Finland. The car was very good but it was a way too expensive. At the same time Volkswagen Group invested in Skoda and they made Felicia model. It was 100 % western car with similiar price tag to Eurosamara, which was just a facelifted eastern car. In the end of production there were many cars that hasn't been sold and they were all sold with a big discount. At that price, Eurosamara was a very good value for money. Every Eurosamara were equipped with 1,5 litre Samara engine (related to 1,3 litre engine) and every one of them were equipped with GM injection (not the Bosch injection as Samara models from year 2000). They were also multi point injections like GM but Bosch models had a few extra power. It's very common belief within Finnish Lada fans that GM models are more reliable and they work better in lower temperatures (like winter). GM models also are consuming a bit less. There was not any model with even optional air conditioning. But there was something else. My dad was working in Valmet Automotive when they were developing Eurosamara. Dad was in the development team. They even built one prototype with sunroof. It was the same element used in 1st series of Renault Twingo. Eurosamara with open top is kinda exotic Btw, I'll going to have the original alloy wheels of Eurosamara for the next summer!
  6. Good evening folks. I'm the owner of Eurosamara.net site. I have a Lada Eurosamara 1500 GLi, it's from the year 1998 and I've driven ~ 67,000 km with my car. Color is Jade Green. I just love my car. It's cheap, reliable, goes well in winter, spacy enough, and comfortable. I'm very glad to see so many enthusiasts here. I live in Uusikaupunki, the same city where they used to build Eurosamara cars. Here are some pictures of my car. I'm sorry but I don't understand your language. I found this forum from my site's statistics and translated this page with Google Translator. If you have any questions about Eurosamara, I'd be more than glad if I'm able to reply them. I made also a group to Facebook, you're welcome to like Eurosamara! I can add some content in English also if I see enough fans there
